Pudełko po pasztecie zostało przechwycone, wypucowane, zaopatrzone w embossowanego na gorąco kitka, a następnie pogessowane, żeby chwyciła się go farba. Pewnie alkoholowe tusze by też zadziałały, ale nie posiadam. Za to akwarelki i farbki H2O potraktowałam ulubionymi ostatnio Perfect Pearls, dodałam kudłatą włóczkę i koraliki - i powstała taka oto stronka w art journalu, bardzo kolorowa i uzupełniona jeszcze kilkoma złotymi myślami o kotach.
Today's post will be bilingual, because I wanted to mention the inspiration I found on Patty Szymkowicz's blog. A few days ago I came across an altered tin there, looks like a home for some small fishes. We were having a Polish pâté at home, whose container is not a "real" metal tin, but thick aluminum foil - close enough, and easier to smash.
I intercepted the tin on its way to the trashcan, cleaned it, decorated with a heat-embossed kitty image and smashed. Then I gessoed it so that the paint would stick to the surface - alcohol inks would probably work nicely as well, but since I don't have them (yet), I needed a work-around. Then some watercolors, H2Os, Perfect Pearls for extra shine, fuzzy yarn and some beads - and here is the resulting art journal page!

Oh what brilliant use of your pate tin! Gorgeous colors...they worked beautifully on the gesso surface.
