Last night I created a tag for the challenge at Weekend Taggers – it appears I’m late, as they already have a new project listed, but I’ll leave there a comment anyway :D. The challenge was to create a tag with a monogram.
Mine was made out of a Colorado map – it turned out that we had an extra one, so it became crafting material. I did some sewing, inking, sanding, added some strings, and of course the T – which stands for travel, trip, trek, and Tomasz – my husband and best travel companion. It turned out that on this little scrap of map there is a whole bunch of landmarks that would be worth Traveling to!
I’m almost done with the Ogden Nash pyramid for Linderella – I just need the back panel which will say “Handmade by” or something like that. I’m promising myself that the next piece will be in “colder” hues, because these reds aren’t really my favorite scheme. But this is what happens if one purchases a whole big book of coordinated papers. I like them, but it’s time for a change. Perhaps I will make a little photo book for Jill on the occasion of a new grandchild coming in a few months – in greens and purples.
