Last Sunday I created a few background sheets based on the Friday Thought Jar in Imaginarium: pieces of masking tape were painted with gesso and acrylics. Love the texture, and I don't know why I had never tried it before!
Anyway, I used one of the backgrounds for a very purple card for the Wednesday Stamper challenge. I added stamped butterflies (note to self: even regular ink works fine on this type of surface), and a couple of flowers - also purple, but in a very different texture: watercolors on hot embossing resist.
Not sure if I didn't overdo this technique combination, but oh well, too late :)
